Hopelessly romantic. Tireless and autodidact sage of almost everything what has interested me for years. Easily addicting to everything.
Why I'm using Tumblr? 'Cause it's the best place to post pics and other stuffs.
That's enough of that shit.
Udo Kier himself presented the movie and before the main film we were treated with his short film from 2002, called Mrs. Meitlemeihr which was so ridicolously hilarious, that it did stole maybe the whole audience attention from the main film.
The print of the main film that festival had was so old, that it wasn’t digitally remastered or even in one reel. It was in 4 reels, and there was always about 3 minutes delay between reel changes. Udo came to stage on those breaks to chat with audience. Funny and a bit strange guy he is.
And after the main film was Q&A session with Udo, which was long and entertaining. He told a lot of stories from his career. Apparently he loves gardening and palm trees. And he have a plastic white horse named Max (named after Max von Sydow) in his garden which makes noises two times a day. :D Well those was one of this strange/funny stories he told us.
He also told that he adores David Lynch’s movies, and would love to work with him. (JUST WONDER WHY THEY HAVEN’T YET? THEY’RE LIKE THE BEST PAIR EVER COULD BE?) He was especially disappointed he wasn’t cast as mystery man in Lost Highway.
He mentioned also upcoming Iron Sky 2, nothing specific about it just that his character is back in business. :) Looking forward to see that. Also he told about something the upcoming Lars von Trier’s film Nymphomaniac, and I’m also looking forward to see it.
Whole show started at 11 p.m and ended 2:30 a.m. Gawd I was tired after it but it was worth it. :)
There’s only 2000 copes in the world of it, and I got one. YEA YEA I KNOW, BUT to brag about IT is just fun. :D
